Protecting Athletes from Abuse

I want all athletes, especially track athletes, to call me with their problems. My goal is to stop all forms of abuse by holding coaches and institutions accountable.”
— Attorney Jon Little

At Saeed & Little, we are more than just attorneys—we are athletes who deeply understand the physical and emotional dedication involved in athletic pursuits. Our firm, founded by athletes, is dedicated to protecting all athletes, including Olympic athletes, from sexual abuse and other forms of mistreatment in sports.

Our Commitment to Athlete Safety

Saeed & Little brought the first case against the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and its associated entities in 2008. We were instrumental in exposing the widespread sexual abuse perpetrated by Larry Nassar and over a hundred other coaches, serving as the original source for the Indianapolis Star's groundbreaking "Out of Balance" investigation. Our firm has tried Olympic sport cases before juries, taken cases to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and successfully resolved more than 20 Olympic-related cases through settlements, winning our clients millions of dollars.

Unlike other law firms that represent athletes without a background in high-level sports, Saeed & Little has unparalleled knowledge of the facts and history surrounding USOC sexual abuse. Our decade-plus experience in olympic litigation ensures that we are uniquely equipped to advocate for and protect athletes.

Leading the Charge: Attorney Jon Little

Jon Little is a pioneering trial attorney at the forefront of protecting athletes' rights. His landmark lawsuit against USA Swimming led the USOC to adopt new policies aimed at eliminating sexual abuse of young athletes. Jon has extensive experience in a wide range of athletic legal issues, including competition eligibility and training visas (P1, O1, and B1) for entry into the United States. He has also represented clients in multi-million-dollar actions against National Governing Bodies (NGBs) for harm caused by their agents.

Jon's dedication extends beyond the courtroom. He has published significant research on gender, sports, and the law, including his work, "Running Against the Wind: Sex Discrimination in High School Girls Cross Country." His relentless pursuit of justice includes challenging USA Fencing for allowing a coach with a guilty plea for sexual assault to continue coaching, and for not disciplining another coach who assaulted an athlete.

A Personal Touch from a Passionate Advocate

Jon Little's background as an experienced runner who competed in the 2008 Olympic Trials and ran professionally for Brooks Running in Seattle gives him a unique perspective and passion for athletes' rights. He has won millions of dollars for his clients and achieved significant non-financial victories, such as securing U.S. citizenship for an athlete just before the Olympic Trials.

At Saeed and Little, LLP, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all athletes. If you or someone you know has been a victim of abuse in sports, contact us today for a confidential consultation. Let us help you find justice and protect future generations of athletes.
